ABOUT

I am a licensed psychologist in Texas and Kansas. I moved to Houston in 2007 to work with BNFGM, and I enjoy being part of a group practice. I graduated from Louisiana State University, and received a masters and doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. While in graduate school I was able to receive training in a variety of settings, from the VA system to a private practice and a university counseling center. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Michigan State University Counseling Center, and a postdoctoral fellowship with the University of Texas-San Antonio Counseling Services. Prior to moving to Houston I worked within the Kansas Department of Corrections.

I enjoy being a member of the Houston Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Association. I have also served as an oral examiner for the Texas State Board of Examiner of Psychologists. I currently serve as an adjunct instructor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

During free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and children- taking bike rides and finding new parks. I enjoy following sports, and root for the Tigers and Jayhawks whenever possible!
